THIS IS REALLY OLD AND I KNOW IT'S NOT ENTIRELY ACCURATE AND ALSO DON'T USE THIS FOR ADVICE PLEASE DON'T POINT OUT IF ANYTHING ON HERE IS WRONG BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW THAT THANK YOU FOR READINGOkay, I was finally able to finish this!
This is basically a guide to the whole hemospectrum, I hope you guys find it helpful! Whether you're writing an AU or making a fantroll, if you have any questions feel free to ask me! c:

Actually, it IS possible to kill some troll higher in the hemospectrum, since Eridan killed Feferi, Kanaya killed Eridan, and so on.

The only exception to the clothing colors is if your Moirail is higher up on the Hemospectrum then it's a sign of protection and lets other trolls know if they fuck with you they'll have an angry Moirail on their ass, for example Nepeta wore blue, Equius's color, and Eridan, tough he wouldn't necessarily need protection, he wore tyrian bejeweled rings. Other possible examples would be Kanaya wore red, possibly a sign of her closeness with Karkat and another example of the relationship with Suffer/Dolorosa. Terezi also wore red, signaling her matespriteship with Karkat, though it didn't last very long. Hope that helps. c:

also, kanaya did NOT get her abilities from karkat and it is not a myth, as it happened to her ancestors( Porrim and the dolorosa both were without any interference from karkat/kankri) and has been therorized as an ability developed by their blood caste to help with their duties to the mother grub

it was actually in homestuck a little while ago, rose and kanaya were talking about it when they were on the meteor. it was a flash game though, so a lot of people missed missed it, now that i think about it, alot of confusion can happen when skip those games instead of playing it through. kinda sad that people would though, considering theirs a gog-forsaken walkthrough

um, red IS a mutant color, its been stated by hussie and in homestuck several times, not sure where your getting this, "top and bottom" stuff.
The reason hes a mutant is because he's supposed to have blood just a little greener than sollux's blood, but the mutation makes it candy red.
Intresting thoery going around that the reason humans were made the way they are is that is because they were made in karkats image and/or represent his ideal world{no hemospectum, blood like his, no wings in god tier, less war COMPARED TO TROLLS, and no kismesissitude, which he always had problems with, lots of stupid shit to get angry with, its practically paradise for him.}
Also, gamzee isn't a mutant hes on the hemospectrum and so is kanaya and feferi.
I understand you want to stress the rarity of those blood types but you will end up confusing people their blood is mutated like karkat/kankri's blood, which it is not
also, you CAN hurt a higher blood IF you both are <3< (internet sign for kismesis) and the higher blood admits it

yo its all good, i'm just a bit annoyed at others in our fandom getting it wrong when they shouldn't.
it is a bit confusing though and their are still things we don't know about troll society (almost typed soul society 
still though, this guide is really good when it comes down to cracking down on that typical, fan troll bull shit like rainbow blood and the such. my fan troll is a mutant too, but not in the way karkat is, and when theirs so much bullshit out their people immediately write off my troll as stupid and mary sue-like instead of giving it a chance (my troll isnt some glitter blood or something stupid like that though, i assure you)

well its not his blood color persay, he has the highest you can have(feferi) but due to him being a dumbass in the future and cutting corners in his ectobiological birth, he ended up with out the sea-dwelling attributes. at least, thats the story im going with right now, but when you consider the summoners mutation, that might not be the only way to mutate physically. as for him hiding his mutation, well, hes a cannabel soooooooo.... not much social interaction.
