I think I'm using the wrong powdered stuff. I can never get a good metallic, it always just goes sparkly.
This is super fantastic, even the cute little detailing around the Happy Bday tag. The handle and clasp are just jaw dropping! The deep set quilting of the bag is amazing too. Did you pre-cut that into the cake and icing or did you just work that fondant like no other? It's just a really cool visual effect.

I'm guessing you are applying the dust straight out of the jar? The correct method is to mix the dust into some clear alcohol before painting with a brush.

yup, any clear drinking alcohol is fine. Usually use whatever is cheapest.

i genuinly do love the way the fondant looks like real leather
