Description

Slick sighed as she struggled back behind the curtain. It seemed like such as easy job, a chance to be back on stage; it wasn't acting per say, but she would take any chance to be back in the spotlight she could get. Besides, the fact that she owned a magical talking bunny, Cotton, meant that she just HAD to capitalize on that. She reassured her fluffy friend that it was an easy trick and easy money. He would be the star attraction of the show, and just needed to pop out on his cue. While all she would have to do is look good while performing the oldest trick in the book: pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Simple.

Heaving her massive belly out in front of the crowd, she did her best to look confident as she got the crowd excited to see the main attraction.

"And now, from this ordinary old hat..." she paused for effect, showing the crowd the shiny top hat only moments ago sitting on her head, "I will pull Cotton! The AMAZING TALKING BUNNY!" She wiggled her fingers a bit, for dramatic effect of course, before she quickly reached her hand into the hat and pulled out.... nothing.

Her eyes flashed a look of panic. She tipped the hat up over her head and peered deep inside. There was no magic bunny to be found, only a few orange carrot crumbs raining down onto her ample chest. Looking back to the crowd, trying to think of what to do, she overheard a little girl in the audience through the silence,

"Where's the bunny?" She looked up and asked her mother.

"Maybe it's in her big tummy!" Her snotty, older brother exclaimed. After being rushed offstage by the MC introducing the next act, Slick could feel her whole face burn a bright red.

Now sitting back in her dressing room, Slick sighed heavily. It looks like the only tricks she preformed that night was fitting into an outfit she ordered a month ago for a significantly smaller her, and waddling her huge belly out on stage; which to be fair, both were nothing short of magic. She picked up the hat one last time, too tired to even feel frustrated anymore. She was going to have to find Cotton sooner or later. Perhaps the fluffball got stage fright and didn't hear his cue. She sighed again and looked into the empty velvety lining.

"I will pull Cotton, the amazing talking bunny!" The cue line was nothing short of disheartened when suddenly, the old hat began to sputter and shake. A shower of confetti shot her in the face and before her was a small white ball of fur and fluff.

"Ta-da!!!" The little rabbit proudly announced before looking back at Slick, "Did I do a good job Mom?"

Slick never seems to catch a break...it's kind what you get for getting knocked up with all them babies :v

First of all I want to thank for writing this story out! I told him my basic premise and he just ran away with the idea. And to be quite honest I absolutely love what he came up with!!
