Huur, I'm not too good with RORITA pointers unfortunately (that's my sister's territory). I think I like #2, although, perhaps you should change the underbustle from grey to blue (to match the bodice)? Unless he has grey somewhere on his outfit.
And then make it super-cupcake-puffy.
