The CR75 Light Corvette was built by Corellian Engineering Corporation and was designed as a compact variant of the popular CR-series of ships. Its biggest appeal was that it had a redesigned forward section that centralized starship control to the point where the ship could be piloted by a single individual. This turned the corvette design of CEC into a personal starship for enterprising merchants and others who wanted a larger ship for peronal use. It never found the appeal as the smaller YT-series and other CEC products with smugglers because of its relatively slow speed but within legitimate markets it quickly became a common sight upon its public release.
Its standard armament of two dual turbolaser cannons could be supplmented by additional hardpoints for an additional two dual weapons mounts and multiple single weapons mounts. This meant that it could serve as a light escort for convoys who desired protection from raiders and pirates or be used in to screen larger warships. The CR75 straddled a strange line between CECs various freighter models and its lines of small warships which at once made it incredibly versatile but also somewhat of an oddball to many buyers who were unsure of its capabilities. Despite any market misgivings the craft did sell relatively well and had a comparable career to its larger cousins within the CR-series.

Well I figured it's like the other CR-series ships and they're all rather customisable.

...sounds like CR series had the same philosophy as the YT series

A lot of CEC ships had that approach.
