Bokeh comes from the Japanese word "blur" and basically refers to the out-of-focus areas that appear in a photo as a result of using a really shallow depth of field.

Whenever I see a reply from you in the message center it creeps me out a little bit because the little speech bubble box looks like it's coming right out of the dinosaur's mouth. So it's kind of like I'm having this conversation with an extinct creature.
