Gorgeous blue fox pelt i got in the mail yesterday
The pelt belongs to ~Sindima and I was commissioned to mount it for them <3 They requested progress pictures so I decided to take some before i start aswell.
I have yet to measure it, but the fur is very thick and soft and she has all her claws, but no pawpads, (I'll be replacing the bottom of the paws with leftover scrap blue fox fur i have from a previous project.) and she's also missing her back left foot, but I'll be sewing on a replacement.
also gdshgjksjg sorry for that.. black circley stuff around the picture, my mom's iphone case does that and i was too sleepy i forgot to take it off :'c

She was not mountable otherwise because her tan is not good and I didn't just want her to hang around. I love her just as a pelt but I think she will be beautiful this way and this way she can be partially mounted. She is my favorite..

Well, i don't like to call them 'zombies'. But I understand where you're coming from.
I'm a pelt collector and I personally perfer regular soft mounts and traditional taxidermy, But skullfoxe's are a great way to do something with your pelt if you're sick of just having it hang on the wall and it isn't nessasarily mountable.

I got a tail of some sort of fox in this shipment that I adore. (Someone said it's possibly a cross fox, but I'm not sure.) It's got a swirly stripe-looking pattern and aaaah it's soft and fuzzy :'U

Yeah the brownish ones are probably cross foxes, but if they're small and the fur
isnt very fluffy it could be a kit fox. <3 they're really pretty though fsduhghfjg

No, the brownish ones are coyote tails (Glacier Wear has a #2/Select tail lot for $1 a tail. I ordered 3 and got two coyote and one fox.). I don't know what the grey one is, lol. xD

The grey one looks like a silver to me, but it could be a cross 0: They all look kinda
similar, Its hard to tell.

Yeah, I can't tell, either, but I love how in some light it looks marbled and in other light it looks striped. <3
Also, if you'd ever need it for something, I have this fox piece . It was the piece of the tail I had cut off because the tail had a massive bald spot (the tail was originally like 2 feet. After separating the bald spot and the spot there it's now only like 15"-16"). The piece of the tail shown in that pic is around 7"-9" or so.

Got a pretty piece of beaver, too. Red-brown in the center, fades outward to gold-brown, and finally finishes at a downy grey-brown.
It is. I don't wanna waste anything because I don't like wasting natural stuff. :'U

I'm also probably going to take out the stitching in her leg and removing the stuffing and redo it, since im very picky about my sewing seams xDD and theirs wasn't very good, the stuffing also has a gap in between it and i did my best to fix it but you can still kind of feel it so thats another reason why i'll be taking out their stitches, if i can.

That is fine. I got her pretty inexpensive and I wasn't given any info about her state when I purchased her. They just told me she was a wallhanger and I was surprised at all she had feet etc

I ordered up a red fox skull and it was supposed to be here today, but I didn't make it to the
post office on time x'D They closed before i got there, So i'll have to check tomarrow. I had to wait around
all day for Dish network to come install TV and they couldn't even get a signal -.-
But, i did rehydrate her today to see what i could do about her ears, And her tan was already pretty bad on her face
so i was extremely delicate with her, but when i rehydrated her, Her tan got kinda weird and was flakey?? almost? I don't know how to describe it, But anyways, Im guessing she didn't have ears, or they were removed or something and just half of them left.. or something, I don't really know xD So i put her outside in the sun to dry and I'm going to remove the leather that is her ears and piece it back togather so it looks more like an ear. But anyways it won't be much of a problem, its just her ears will be kind of small and roundish and stubby, x'P

Well that was the only thing the person I got her from said was that she was NOT hydrateable but never elaborated on why.. I am not sure what they had accomplished xD I am sure whatever you can do will be an improvement to her ears anyway. I know she won't have giant ears- blue foxes don't seem too..
Yah and the post office is on my shitlist today cause they left a notice for me to pick up my soft mount coyote i have been saving for and we went to get it and they didn't have her. Told me to come back

I am hopefully going to be able to go to the post office today if I can get off work early. If not my mother is still going to see if she can pick up my packages today.
If they still don't have it then I will be having words with them on Saturday. It is ridiculous to wait this long. They shouldn't leave a notice if my package won't be available to pick up.
A po box might be a good idea... that way it never leaves the post office xD

I'm going to have to go tomarrow, they closed AGAIN before i could get there u-u ugh.
my house is so far from the city it takes 2 hours to drive up the mountain and by the time i get back
here the post office is closed. The lady did leave a note for me and said my package was there so at least i know
its there
Also usually the proper procedure for mounting feet is to rehydrate them then stuff them with clay, but since the rehydration of your foxes face went so bad im very nervous to rehydrate the feet, so I don't think im going to.
