Entry for this weeks challenge over at had fun doing this. Couldn't get going on the huntress sketch so i decided to sketch a batman and i like it then i sketched catwoman and finally i thought hey why not a triptych? :/ anyway here it is. Good luck to all this week.Did some of the colors on my livestream check it out if you like and next time join me!

EDIT: the BG was from a random google cityscape. I adjusted the color and contrast and added lighting effects. The moon is from stock i have on my computer and all the lighting and cloud cover is done by hand. I know it may seem like cheating but i spent so much time on the characters i ran out of time for the BG. Plus i need to work on photo-manipulation as well just to add to the repertoire.

Amazing work man! Your colors are amazing as well and I donΒ΄t think using stock photos and images degrade your work (or is seen as "cheating") when theyΒ΄re used properly, not everyone achieve a good balance between an original illust with a photo-manipulated BG, it also requires some skill so I think is pretty valid, just another tool on an artist' repertoire. ThatΒ΄s just my opinion anyway

appreciate the support. i know some people noticed and were either upset, or just outright thought it was weak. i think there was also some comments on digital art being less than pencil on paper...lol...as if i didnt start somewhere? anyways thanks for the support.

I think those people are just jealous that they canΒ΄t do such an amzing job as yours. Like I said before, most people that use photos or stuff like that to complement an illust donΒ΄t do a good job and most of the time it looks crapy.....when you use them and you know how to blend them together just right, using them as elements and not as a means of "IΒ΄m-just-too-lazy-to-do-it-myself" kinda thing, I believe is a different story, it has some "artistic merit". I donΒ΄t like it either when I see an illust where the artwork just seems stamped over a picture and I think thatΒ΄s the concept that many have when it comes to the use of these elements on original art. This is definitely not the case here, is really well done and the photo elements are used quite well, it enhances your artwork rather than take away from it. DonΒ΄t take any shit from anyone about it man, good work
