So, yep. We have:
Sweetie Belle - Batty Belle - YAY! (overly happy)
Apple Bloom - Apple Gloom - Grumpy Cat! (overly annoyed, an' overly... uh... dunno. But there's a second word. Which ah can't remember)
Scootaloo - Scootablue - Depression. (overly sad)

My friend brought me here, literally she just texted me a few minutes ago telling me about this comic she was reading and recommended it to me.

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow. You
will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room

I think you mean the 9th parallel, as you can't actually exist on the 9th dimension itself because it's a system in space-time.

I will point out that you're right, but Slitherpon was surprisingly on track with the dimensions. the 9th dimension is the supposed space where all the different universes exist in. I don't quite have the perfect concept of it yet, but I think I understand it as 7th dimension being parallel universes with few changes (potential to find yourself), 8th being alternate universes with many changes (potential not to find yourself), then 9th is the way to travel from one point to another without traveling the distance between. Kinda like vanishing from one point in 2d and reappearing at another purely by jumping in 3d.
put simply, she had the right idea.

Eeeeeh, I think it really has to do with which scientific discipline you are looking at it from and what theory you subscribe to. But rather than spending a few hours trying to explain it, I'll just link you to this handy little summary, and it's even in comic form! With Nyx and Luna!Β Science!

JediJess In reply to ChaosDrgon [2015-04-13 17:28:13 +0000 UTC]
... I know this explaination... This is what I believe. The theory of the 10 dimensions... although I usually say 9, but this explains it all really well. I got my resources from the same place as Nyx Contacts, 10thdim (Imagining the 10th dimension). You are right though, it has a helluva lot to do with the chosen scientific discipline.
I just gotta say right now, thanks for showing me that. I might be able to use this to help explain it to my friends now.

I use that comic to explain the theory to others all the time. They did an excellent job explaining it in a clear and concise manner. I'm just glad I stumbled across it. It makes explaining the theory much simpler.

True, but since 'dimension' here /means/ 'parallel reality', then why not just say 'parallel' and save everyone the trouble?

I like this ideaΒ Β

"Darker and edgier." It's the name of the trope on TVTropes. I'm guessing though that it's a phrase you chose for different and/or arbitrary reasons.

Yes, I see what you mean there - and the comedic possibilities are endless with this. I always fancy taking a darker look at Equestrian Society myself, if for no other reason than to try to see if there are any "cracks in the facade" that reveal a seedier underside. I mean, after all, how do you achieve utopia without having to do some more...unsavory things. lol
But yeah, I already like Bubby Belle - she seems like she's on happy pills. X)Β

Slitherpon In reply to BlutEisen [2014-05-23 01:51:48 +0000 UTC]
Lol, very true. I've always been fascinated with utopias that aren't as perfect as they appear on the surface.
And haha thanks, glad you like her. I think I'm gonna have some fun with her. ^^
