I wanted to have a go at drawing in the "Sailor Moon Crystal" style, so I chose my favourite Sailor Senshi, Sailor Saturn.
It's a very tricky style to get right, but I'm fairly happy with this one. Her face/head is too wide (I seem to suffer from that problem a lot), and I'm not sure how, or if, the Silence Glaive should look any different, but let me know what you think. The eyes were the most fun part by far.

As for Sailor Moon Crystal itself, I really love it. The only fault I can find is that they gave Luna red eyes and Queen Serenity blonde hair, but the rest is perfect. I'm not bothered by the CGI in the transformation scenes (it probably could be better, but it's really not as bad as everyone makes out); I really love Moon Pride (Moon Rainbow I could take or leave), but the really strange thing about the Opening Theme is that it shows Ami crying, and sort of implies that she cries often...Does she? Anyway, the animation has its sloppy side, but overall it's really gorgeous. The voices are great too (I probably don't have a very good ear, but Haruna-Sensei and Ikuko-Mama sound quite young). AND Luna's voice is amazing. But the most incredible thing about it is how true it stays to the Manga. This is what I've been waiting for.

I've been really enthusiastic about buying the 20th Anniversary merchandise. I'm thinking of sharing photos, so let me know what you think!
