Nibble burned, and all Ori could do was watch. He had tried everything, even giving up his light to Sein to help ward the grate spirit tree from the flames, but against the raging inferno that had taken hold of the forest, even that was not enough. The spirit tree was doomed, and with its death, the realm would be consumed along with it. All Ori could do now was find Kuro's last child and anyone else who was still alive, and hope they could survive long enough untill there was nothing left to burn...

A random Ori doodle that ended up like this. Judging from what we've seen of the Wisps trailer, this is the fate of Nibble. As to how it will come about, all we can do is theroize...

Edit: Now that the second trailer is out, it looks like the tree we saw in the first trailer is a new spirit tree (one outside the forest realm of Nibble)
