Drawing of "The Phoenix" (Lysias's/Eamon's previous, ancient self) and "The Dragon" (Mephisto's/Avalon's previous, ancient self) in their human form, before they made a rider bond with the human girl (their wife).
This is just an idea drawing of the two - I am pretty much set on the dragon's looks already, but the phoenix's looks still may end up changing later on, once I start working on the 3rd continuation, in which that ancient story about them (from the legend) will be told. The two of them started off as mortal enemies, with one of their masters (god) trying to kill that human girl and thus sending the dragon after her, while the other was doing their best to save her and thus sent the phoenix to guard her.
P.S.
The phoenix and the dragon have brown hair and eyes in "Dragonheart - Heart of the Phoenix" (book 10), when their old legend gets briefly mentioned in their adopted son's case (Anu Lien), due to already having a rider bond with that human girl at that time, hence their appearance also ended up changing, since dragons and phoenixes take on the appearance of their riders, due to not actually having their own human appearance.
