Etrayu dives deep beneath the waves, using her synthetic body's bio-tech enhancements to brave crushing pressure and extreme cold temperatures, all in search of her next scientific discovery...

This is by far the most ambitious and detailed piece of character art I've ever attempted, taking several evenings to complete!

Etrayu is a synthetic female coeurl, into Biotechnology and science. The moment I saw Etrayu's reference sheet her character design and outfit made me think of a diving suit from the game Subnautica. So I had the idea to draw her in an underwater sci-fi themed scene. It was so much fun designing her diving suit and equipment, I could really go to town with all of the details during the lineart stage and play around with different materials for her suit.

Her large squid-like tentacles are really cool too. I imagine she uses their bio-luminescent glow to light her way while exploring the dark depths of the ocean. I tried to keep close to your original design for her outfit and build upon it with extra underwater equipment.
