Many thanks, Sir. This flower was dappled with rain. The next day, something ate the flower. It was totally gone...

Many thanks, Ma'am. it made two blooms this year. Shortly after they came out, something ate them in the night. I saw the following morning where the flowers had been cleanly bitten off.

Deer do not come this far into town. I am thinking more along the lines of a skunk. There are many of these in the neighborhood... Pepe le Pew and friends...

Great color. Β I'm trying desparately to keep my Oriental Lily alive. Β I have to keep spraying it with a deer and rabbit repellent. Β

Me too. Β I mostly have a bunch of the run-of-the-mill orange day lilies. Β

Yep, that sounds like what happens to my Oriental Lily. Β Nothing eats the orange ones.

Perhaps they are poisonous, the orange ones?

All I know is that I don't think anything can kill them, even me.

Ants can wipe them out rather quickly during a drought. However, as long as the bulbs are untouched, they come right back the next spring.

I have a lot of them, they came with the house. Β I used to have lavender planted near one grouping and the colors were beautiful together. Β A couple winters ago the frigid temps finally killed the lavender.

The lavender can be replanted.
