History : Blake or otherwise known as Black Star was a soldier who prefers to use cold logic rather than violence. His aspiration in becoming a leader, as well as his unflinched resolve to serve the Griffin Kingdom and great dogfighting skills caught Red Cyclone's attention. Five years before The Equestrian War, he was sent to Equestria to find and kill the leaders of a possible mutiny against the kingdom. It turned out to be a false info, but he had to execute the two ponies he found, as doing otherwise would turn him into a traitor and get himself killed.

During The Equestrian War, Black Star came to realize the error of his ways. When Firefly defeated him in The Valley of Kings, he explained everything, additionally helping her with vital info to bring down Red Cyclone's rule and end the war. Shortly after resolving Firefly's case, he left the Griffin Kingdom, his motives unknown. Recently, there have been sightings of him on cities such as; Manehatten, Stalliongrad and ultimately Sudentor but none of this claims have been confirmed.

Black Star's return was confirmed by the same Wonderbolt, Soarin' who faced him during the opening days of the Equestrian War. Black Star was recruited as the second member of the 17th Special Task Force Squadron "Aquila" or better known as the Northern Eagles, he quickly became the squadron's top member; boosting his infamy among the Neue Belkan ranks. During the Neue Gryphus Rebellion, Black Star quickly earned his status back as a fearsome flier, taking down enemies with great precision and accuracy along with Kestrel. After Esser revealed himself as the true master of both conflicts, Black Star went into a temporary freak out before he was calmed down by Kestrel, both of them reconciled and reconnects their relationship.

Ultimately, Black Star was the one who was able to vanquish Esser and destroyed the Valkyrie before it could crash on the populated Equestrian city of Stalliongrad, at the cost of his life. Black Star's sacrifice shook many of his friends and the griffon was expected to recieve the "Knight of Valhöll", a medal of honor only earned small number of individuals.
