Description This mother wolf stands protectively outside her den. If you look carefully in the darkness within, you may see the tiny pinpricks of light that are her pup's eyes.

My wonderful hubby named this one.

And you were saying about my fur... If I had a brush and I wouldn't have to worry about a hand bitten off, it's almost like I could just...reach out and brush your wolf *-* Holy cow. I like the glitter in her eyes; it completes (to me) the whole of her with that don't mess around with me look. And I really like the eyes of the whelps in the back ^^- -taps- O.o Have you ever done any tutorials? Will you ever, if no? I mean sheesh... -twitch- Your trees and rocks too...I bet one of these days they'll start a hall of...god-liness..stuff..or something, and they'll have to put you in it because everything just kicks ass << I would, anyway. (Baha..Can you tell my classmates brown nosing in class is rubbing off? Not that that's what I mean it to be here, of course.) I can't imagine the patience you must have, and while I probably said it somewhere in a comment to you before, I really do hope someday that I can get my work even half as good as this. Anyway, I haven't looked through all of what's new yet since last time I've been through, but I just found one of my favorites here!

*grin* Flattery will get you everywhere. Thank you so much for the great comment! I haven't done any tutorials on my techniques yet, nope... I still keep thinking I'm not good enough to do so... or at least, not consistently. One time I might try those rocks or fur and get a great result and another... well, not as great. I'm beginning to strongly consider doing a few of them, though, just to see how they turn out. That'll have to be after the first of the year, once I get settled back in the states. But I'll try to remember to do a fur and/or rock tutorial as per your suggestions. Thanks again!

LOL Well, I am serious about what I said. I don't see myself hopping off a computer any time soon though or leaving dA, so as long as I have a way to get updates, I'll be waiting ^^- Take care over there!

This is beautiful. The texturing on the wolf and rocks are beyond belief!

The plants on the side of the picture are nice.

But the thing that stands out the most to me is the pose. The wolf is looking off somewhere, which is appealing to me. I don't know why.
Also the eyes and the lighting on the nose are very nice touches.
Everything on this is perfect, the wolf's coat, the background, everything.

It really is stunning how much detail you put into this. Everything from the fur, to the little things like the eyes in the background really bring you into the picture.
You did really well with the colours too, the scheme is almost photorealistic.

*gets all choked up* wow, it's rare that a deviation brings tears too my eyes *wipes his nose* very alpha of you, extremely generous for sharing this. The quality is outrageous, and the feeling all about it is simply georgous. the eyes, the face, the stance of innocence, readiness, being aware. to animals, capturing their energy, and aura. they can't speak, but I'm sure in modest terms it would be similiar to thank you. because life is beautiful, life is natural, and real. an animal is not just an animal, but so much more. to capture their likeness in other forms is like painting the stars at night, or playing catch with the sun. such mystic forces.very mind blowing for me, yet I howl at many moons, in the car, shower, and sometimes while laughing. I feel more relaxed, and real around ppl that like animals, are like animals, or animals themselves. having lost a good little friend of mine, I'm happy to see each picture that reminds me of him.

I wolves!! My fursona is a wolf This is amazing!! The fur effects are very good, every single colour blends together very well, I like the contrast of it, very fuzzy like. I especially like how you did the "fluffy" texture under her head/neck and belly, kind of like my cats. Her colors are so warm, this is one critter I'd love to cuddle up with There really is a difference between fluffy, fuzzy, and furry I belive. Love her eyes, they seem calm yet alert, and very wise. Her legs are so silky and thin, almost shiny, a really good sprinter I guess?
Love your rocks too. Even though the main thing is the wolf, you put in detail even to the farthest point of the background. Unlike me Rocks look genuine, really, with those bits of fungi and plants sticking out, and with that "glittery" look to them. So do your leaves and plants; really shiny and realistic:jawdropping: I am amazed by your trees though! Not many people I see draw forest enviroments so well and deep, really!

This looks very realistic, from a distance you could swear it was a photo :3 I love the little eyes of the little wolflings I must have one! Great job, another masterpiece from you
