Description A few days ago, I had someone message me on Facebook asking "Are you that amazing artist who was at Battlecry convention?" I handed out a few cards with my name on it there, but never really thought that anyone would actually contact me afterwards.. hahaha and felt really flattered to be called "amazing artist" too

Anyway, he commissioned me to draw his RPG character Darraigh. He's a young man who grew up in a city, with a druidic magic that comes to him by instinct. He wears green hooded cloak, and carries a staff that he carved himself to channel his magic.

I'm really enjoying doing these character concept commissions.

Haha, I totally know what you mean! I've got some concepts sitting around, but I havent finished them yet. Doing commissions has been a test for me, as my inner fangirl keeps calling out to me to draw other things XD

LOL yeah.. It's typical me, but I have this bursts of creativity when I need to be doing commissions... and when I don't have any commissions to do, I just get lazy and not do much personal art anyway..

That's how it always seems to work out, isnt it? XD So unfair. I'm always feeling super creative when I have a ton of other important stuff I need to be doing. Sigh, c'est la vie.

you are an amazing artist buddy and you did a lovely job of his character.  his bare feet make me think Hobbit lol. but not hairy so cross that out.   anyways I am glad you are getting the recognition you deserve

hahaha  thank you   Bare feet was fun to draw.. I am not quite so good at drawing shoes to be honest.

In my client's description, this is a character who draws his magical power from nature, and also quite poor, living in streets of a big city.   The client initially suggested me to give him mis-matched worn shoes, but I thought bare feet would be better so he can have direct contact with the earth all the time to draw nature's energy..   Actually I should have made them look a bit dirtier.. hehehe

That's a pretty cool concept. Kind of like Toph from Avatar the Last Airbender.

THank you!   I always use references for anatomy. 

I got the general pose reference from men's boxer shorts model, and then got another reference for the feet, and another for the face..   I didn't feel the need to list all the references, because they're only loosely used..
