Ok. Critique it is.

Your selective desaturation/selective colorization seems reasonably well done. The problem is the basic photograph. This shot has the chest as the primary subject, yet the chest is in shadow, with little descernable detail.

If you are sitting on a bed facing away from the window here, perhaps you should sit on the other side of the bad, facing the window.

All the color manipulation in the world is not going to save a poorly taken photo.
