Description
So for those who are keeping up with Naruto, you now know that Tobi is not exactly who he has claimed to be. So now we are all in the dark about who the man behind the mask is. I've been looking at some of the evidence surrounding him and these are the four possible candidates that I've narrowed it down to. Left to Right, Kagami Uchiha, Obito Uchiha, Izuna Uchiha, Madara Uchiha.

Here are my theories.

-Kagami-
I know some of you are asking 'who'?
Kagami was one of Danzo's cell members back when the 2nd Hokage Tobirama was killed. He was there and witnessed the battle, as well as Hiruzen being made 3rd Hokage. After they returned to Konoha, both he and Danzo argued Hiruzen's right to lead and lost. Danzo went on to create ROOT, while Kagami left the village.

Tobi has knowledge of ROOT and so does Kagami, if he is still alive. Tobi has yet to show a Mangekyo and Kagami had not achieved it. Also, the name Tobi could be a mock of Tobirama's decision to make Hiruzen Hokage. Kagami, enraged, would have wanted revenge against the leaf and probably would have set his mind on ruling the world. He might have also helped Itachi massacre the Uchihas in an attempt to gain a Mangekyo, but since none of them were his 'friends' his eye would never fully develop. Kagami also fits the age requirement as Tobi has shown to be OLD as DIRT!

-Obito-
The name Tobi (Spelled Toobi in japanese translation) is an anagram of Obito... But this is kinda' obvious. I also feel that Kakashi would have noticed or that Obito would have tried to recruit him. Also, he was clearly crushed under a whole lot of rocks... But he could have been 'rescued' by Akatsuki, or a group similar to them and reformed in the hopes that he could be brainwashed into destroying the leaf... But, he isn't old enough, gave Kakashi his right eye and Tobi clearly has two sharingan... So it's possible but I doubt it. What reason would he have to slaughter his clan?

-Madara-
Well we see that Madar is clearly dead, as he was revived from death by the Impure World Ressurrection... But we've seen people split into two (Tsuchikage), we've seen people revived (dang near every villain), so why couldn't both occur. Tobi could be a part of Madara that detached before the battle withe Hashirama, but I find it a little unlikely. If he did, then pretty much all of his other story would check out.

-Izuna-
Not gonna' lie, I think it's Izuna.
Izuna would be old enough (by like 100 years). He was supposed to be dead, but he supposedly died on the battle field... After he went to fight with no eyes... WHY would they send a BLIND man to the battlefield during war... It's ridiculous. I think Tobi lied about Izuna (his own) death to cover up his identity. Izuna could have been there when Hashirama and Madara fought. He might have even sabotaged his brother out of spite for his stolen eyes. After the battle, he could have recollected his eyes from the corpse and would have had no trouble getting DNA from Hashirama (TOBI HAS GROWN A CHIA-KAGE) as it was EVERYWHERE. This would explain the lack of the Mangekyo. He wouldn't have an eternal considering the eyes he took weren't actually his brother's. He simply took his back. He would not have used the Mangekyo since it would slowly sap his sight and after returning to the village, he would have been shunned by his family for his actions, giving him a reason to want them all dead. He had motive, he had opportunity and he had the skill to do so... But he'd be ancient... Like 'I'd be better off dead' ancient... So unless he's been body switching, I don't quite know how he'd still be alive...
