The sparkles didn't show up very well though, it wasn't until I finished it that I realised I probably should have dodged them a little, oh well, maybe for my next one

Something quick you can do to bring something out more is to duplicate the layer. I've duplicated a layer several times to make it really stand out, when I get the desired intensity I merge the layers.

You did a great job blending her into the background.

Thank you, I find that is the hardest part for me, especially when the pictures have two different lighting types. I do like working with layers though, I will try it out next time
