Not as large as Warhok as they still look fairly human-sized

It's not unlike him to make a clandestine deal every once in a while.

BattleSkarr and Artill'ryDuel, I take it?

And well, it certainly looks like he's upteching. But then again, if you're going to be viable with a species of ten foot tall Hulk wannabes, humanity either needs magic, tech, or everyone being Kim or Captain America level physicality. And we don't have the latter, so it's tech we need.

I had to come up with an image that shows the changes that Maze is experiencing as well.  He started off in Kwitcherbeliakin hating technology and everything to do with it.  In FiD he was gradually weaned onto technology when he saw how much it could benefit his plan.  And now he's even letting himself be dressed up like Lord Dredd.  Changes abound....

Yeah, he has. And at least it was a slow development instead of "oooh, shiny tech... what the heck does it do?"

Also, the way he's holding that staff...

"This. Is. My. BOOOMSTICK!"

Honest enough to pull the trigger?... actually, where do you put the triggers for staff weapons? Now that I think about it, it doesn't make sense since if you want to make a staff weapon not fire randomly, you need some kind of safety that also won't get easily disabled, and then once it is disabled for combat you don't want it to suddenly fire off accidently and give you a plasma facial when it's pointing the wrong way after you parry someone's attack and get into a saber (staff?) lock. Just something that jumped into my head...

Also, I think Maze has officially either multiclassed, or changed from an Adept into a Sentinel now that he's sporting tech

But if he changes his alignment, he 'loses' his powers (if this was D&D).
I'm afraid only answer  to the staff/trigger question is that he got his staff trigger from the same place that sells Spider-Man's webshooters....

Depends on the class. If its an arcane class, he shouldn't have any problems (and I doubt he's a bard). If it's Divine... well, that's a little more tricky but as long as he's within one step he should be fine. Unless it's a Druid class, then the tech might be a problem.

So, from Handwavium Incorporated?

It's also the same tech that allows anyone from Star Trek to tap their communicator, and instantly be connected to:
a) the person they were thinking about speaking to, and NO ONE else
b) a group of people/creatures they were thinking about speaking to, but NO ONE else

How do they do it?  It's plot armor!

Your Lowardians look nastier than the TV Lowardians, much as the movie Klingons were to their TV brothers.

I actually tried fairly hard to keep close to how the show showed them.  I was hampered by the fact that you only ever saw TWO Lorwardians.....
