Personality: Archie is a huge flirt and has been most of his life. He has countless partners, lovers and one-night stands, not that he minds or cares. Archie is very dedicated to experimental and hands on learning. Despite struggling throughout school, he is a lifelong learner. He can also be an incurable prankster, much to the chagrin of his friends. Archie might flirt with everyone, students included, but he’s keenly aware of their reactions and respectful of their words and feelings. Also, he cannot cook to save his life.
Backstory: Archie’s hippogryph father was shipwrecked after a nasty storm, leaving him battered and bruised on the shore of a coastal forest. The deer heard that lived in the forest found and nursed the hippogryph back to heath, over time the chief healer’s daughter fell in love with the gryph and eventually they married and bid a fond farewell to travel, eventually settling in land locked ponyville and opened a small café.
As a colt, Archie spent a lot of time by the river. He was fascinated by the river rocks and loved the sound they made when hit together. Through his playing he found that the stones broke in a different way depending on where he hit and with what he hit with. Archie quickly learned how to control the chipping or flaking and ended up making a small hand axe. Over time he perfected his craft, which he learned is called flint knapping. Loving this hands on learning he did more research and found archaeology and its parent anthropology (well the mlp/CR equivalent).

Archie became a dedicated archaeologist and then a professor, joining his best friend and roommate Eli at Ponyville University.
