Yes. I hid all but the surfaces I wanted to test the metal shader on (something went wrong with the engine cowling as they came out black).
Making a non polished and rather dull natural metal is not and easy thing to make look realistic - not for me anyhow. This was my best attempt yet so I went for it on the finished model.

Well, it's better than nothing.  I kinda thought of a Sunderland flying boat design with this.

Getting the dull aluminium look took ages. You need some reflection and environment is important and takes time to render so I used only parts of the model that included all the reflection angles for speed. Not sure what happened to that black engine nacelle as that was supposed to be natural metal too but the rest of the test proved the setup.

Thats my problem I cheapskate a lot. Only had gaffer tape and that was really old.
