I can help you with that one as I snapped a few images of her the last time I was Hendon. She's a Sikorsky R-4 Hoverfly just in case you were wondering.

I was wondering what kind it is, actually. I am not passionate about aircraft or any other vehicles, but I love to see how machines are made, so thank you very much for the photos. I can just see the thought going through the design teams minds. "How do we get the landing gear on?" "What do we do about the wind screen?" "Should we have a cup holder?" Really cool!

I'm going to pipe in here and say that if I'm honest it does... I can't claim that too many choppers make it into my favourite lists, but I wouldn't want to live in a world where the Bristol Sycamore didn't exist. There are some great looking machines among Britain's rotor history, even if many of them were American and built under license.
