Disney gave him one.
We decided that he would be Carol's perfect companion for a clandestine story. 
You know how it is ... the lost wife ... a poor skrull all alone in need of love ...  
Poor Talos!!! In the film he is in love with his wife, we have made him an adulterer!!!
