Original lineart by , the lovely and talented young person who rules our hearts.Ciel: and Sebastian:
Moisca encouraged me to "cover up" their lovely lineart, but I didn't cover it up completely. All the lines are following Moisca's drawings, and you can see bits of it shining through, even now.
) I tried to keep it close to her original lines. Texture used: fav.me/d5ib4kt , and wanderingsoul-stox.deviantart.β¦ , with lots of layering, filtering, and overlay with brushes. β₯
Actually, I used some traditional mediums on this too (watercolor and copic markers), but photographed and edited them in through Photoshop.Thoughts?
Gentle critique is admired.
Which is to say, you may definitely tell me what needs work, but I'd appreciate it if you have a suggestion on how to fix it also. And every artist knows that building on strengths is important too.Edit: made some changes due to suggestions. Yay~

I'm using this as my desktop wallpaper and I saved it as "Loss for Words" which just about sums up my exact feelings for this. Easily the easiest favorite, watch and llama I have ever given to someone. I will be eagerly anticipating all of your work...this is a style I have never seen Ciel and Sebby in. I especially love Ciel, but I adore the fact that this has so many mediums used in it. I see watercolors, markers, (the linear job by Moisca) and it still has the hint of it feeling like a magazine collage. Very clever, very inovative, and I absolutely love this piece so much.Β

Sebastian and Ciel = two of my favorite~ characters. Drawing them is super fun. ^_^ I think I have at least three in-progress arts for them, but...ehhhh, I am sloooow.

You also gave some good advice (make the age difference more apparent), but I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep it in mind for later pieces, as the motivation for this one has flown.Β Thank you again for your insightful comment! , where I tried to make a more masculine Sebastian and more broad shoulders. I kind of focused on a child Ciel (just turned 10 years old), and struggled through a LOT of proportion stuff, but I'm fairly happy with it. ^^ So yeah, feel free to inspire with suggestions. ^_^

there's something I really love about your style it's unique and there is this slight i donno gothic? kinda feel to it but it really suits black butler
Just out of curiosity.. do you colour some parts in copics and others with water colours?
or do you do a combination of both in the same area?

I do a combination in things like clothes and hair, but the faces are usually just marker, and edited in Ps.

this master piece seems like took ages Β just the colors, the textures, the background, the way you colored Sebastian and Ciel wahh seriously this looks like a cover from a fairytale book

You're probably wondering why I didn't reply yet. It's because I was keeping the shining pink letters in my "inbox" for as long as I thought possible.
Well, it only turns out well because Moisca is a genius. She is classy and awesome, I agree, and I am flattered you think I am too~~
The textures on the background were actually done by my amazing and talented sister-- who is a textile artist and therfefore VERY good at matching color and texture to compliment a picture. I just sit back and look amazed. But...she likes me to keep my artist comments shorter than a BOOK, so I just tell ppl interested in the comments. :icongloatingplz:

This is a master-piece *-* !!! A great tribute to Moisca and her wonderful pieces of art. You really put a lot of efforts into this I can tell (5 months... BRAVO ! you're like a heroine XD !! ah ah... I would have killed myself if I were to wait that long ) !!
All those pretty details and what I love the most in your works : your colors. You mix them in such a way it adds lots of depth and makes your drawings look very realistic. I totally love that
Also, I like how you filled the whole piece with pretty details. The rendering looks really great.
The only thing that seems to me a little bit wrong is Ciel's hand, his fingers seems longer than they should.
Anyway, this is an amazing piece and I just love it *U* !!!!

Moisca's drawings just beg for color.
As for me? A heroine?? Nah! Hahaha, I am a pro at procrastinating is what that means. If it were anyone with a good sense of time, they could probably finish in two weeks. Or at least ONE month. 
Hehe, I love colors-- I mix them on palettes, on paper, and layer, layer, layer. Color makes up art to me.
I am so pleased you noticed the little details (changes), too.

Wow, that is absolutely marvelous! The colour choice and blending is almost perfect! Just one thing, (probably just personal preference), Ciel and Sebby look a bit too feminine, but it's just a matter of art style and preference 
9.5/10!
Strengths: Color, shading, lighting, texture,
Weakness: The only one I would recommend working on is Ciel's shirt, is seems a bit too musky and not as detailed as you did with Sebastian, but still very well done!

I went through and added some more texture to Ciel's shirt...but I may come back to it again later if it's not up to shape yet.
