Indeed, they can. I wish I could play SuperCastlevania IV. That sounded like an awesome game.

The show Robot Chicken did a really funny skit that poked fun at Castlevania.

If you don't have a problem with emulators, you can download a SNES emulator and Super Castlevania IV from coolrom.com. You could even plug in an XBox 360 or PS3 controller so you don't need to use the keyboard. It's nowhere near the real experience, but it's still fun.

Yeah, I saw that one. "AGH! WHO THE FUCK USES A WHIP?! OW!" or something to that effect.

I have nothing against emulators myself. My only concern is that it might have hidden malware and/or viruses.

I've downloaded three emulators from coolrom, one of which being 9SNES or something to that effect. No viruses whatsoever.
