Official synopsis: DEATH AT THE MASQUERADE BALL — Stefan and Damon decide on a new plan to deal with Katherine at the Lockwood’s masquerade ball. Katherine calls on an old friend, Lucy, to attend the ball with her. Bonnie, Jeremy and Alaric all do what they can to help Stefan and Damon, but Katherine has a surprise planned that none of them could foresee. Things take an ugly turn when Matt and Tyler start doing shots with their friends..

The next morning Tyler saw Stefan in school and decided he was going to talk to him about the idea of Alaric being let in on the encounter.
St: Damon will never go for that! He's already mad that I told you and Bonnie.
T: Well we can't just idly sit by and wait for this...whatever to start taking people.
St: I don't know...I'll talk to Damon but I'm not making any promises.
*Later that afternoon*
D: What?!
St: Wait just hear me out! What if Tyler is right and this whatever it is Does start taking people?
D: I can't believe I'm saying this......Call Rick.
Stefan called Alaric's cell phone and got his voice mail so he left him a message telling him to come over as soon as possible.
A: I got your message what's going on?
D: Hey Ri—What’s Jeremy doing here?
J: I was in the car with him when he noticed you called so we got here as soon as possible.
St: It doesn't matter Damon! We have a problem Alaric and we need your help.
After Alaric heard everything that Stefan and Damon had to say he sat back in his chair and thought for a moment.
A: So what do you propose we do?
St: The only thing we can do....
D: Hunt it down and dispose of it.*his face started to change revealing dark little veins under his eyes*
J: I'm in.
A: Ok then, first things first....Research.
The four got to work looking on the internet for anything that fit Stefan's description of the creature and how to kill it.
