I like the tall grass and the different little colors of green/light & dark contrast!The shading on the fanart character is nicely placed.

Hey, I figured I would give you some crit as you havent got any comments yet.
Starting with the good bits I think this is really pretty. Your use of colour is nice. The character, pose are very cute. All in all its very good. I can tell you worked hard on this, so well done. I really love her eyes and hair.
In terms of things to work on I think adding more tones and texture would be a big help. As I said this is pretty but adding highlights and mid tones would help. Adding to her hair will make it even nicer, giving it texture. I would also recommend working on backgrounds. this one is nice but quite flat.
I suggest looking for tutorials on painting grass and sky. This is something Im working on too.

Thanks so much for the critique!! I'm admittedly really new to adding backgrounds to my art so im sure I'll start looking at more scenery tutorials in the future. By adding midtones I assume you mean using a sort of "middle shade" in between the base and color I use to shade over it right??? Thanks so much for the advice!

Yes, thou its good to experiment with colours. Sometimes is nice to add another colour to it. For green/grass its nice to add yellows and dark blues. The other colours helps give depth and texture.
