so that scene where sandalphon finds lucifers severed head but get this, they're gems so i get to make them *sparkly*

in case anybody is wondering sandalphons a black opal and lucifers a diamond, and working off that line where lucilius calls him smth along the lines of "spare parts" sandalphon has probably been broken/put together with spare minerals enough times to justify golden alloy being used to hold him together, hence his ability to cry. i have thought way too much about this already lol

(for anyone curious about additional context the original scene involves sandalphon awakening from being sealed away, only to find the severed head of his best friend/love interest whose final message was that sandalphon needed to take his place as supreme primarch, which is essentially the being who maintains order in the world/governs evolution. Its why sandalphons wings are more akin to lucifers colors than his own, they werent his wings to begin with. the characters are originally from granblue fantasy, and they look more like regular people there but since this is a crossover au i redesigned them a bit to fit into the houseki no kuni universe more. granblue is a game ive totally fallen in love with, its a gacha game but you can get sandalphon for free so i definitely recommend it to anybody whose interest was piqued)
