This felt like it took longer than it should have. Really. This picture has just had me on my knees for the past few days (I know how that sounds....and it's pretty accurate, I must shamefully admit). I think the MAIN reason, though, was that I used just one layer (with a black background); also, I was trying to go for a ' paint only'-type deal without any preliminary sketches whatsoever (which would make this my 3rd attempt). But STILL man.

This was just MURDA.

....

HOWEVER.

Complaints aside, I am very happy with how this came out. This was a huge step for me. Granted, there are again spots here and there that could use some touching up, but overall I'm fine with all the elements here. STRANGE, I tell ya...

....

Of course, with that being said, I am NOT going to be using this technique any time recently.
