Beautiful! For all those arachnophobes out there, this most certainly is a spider's web, and it looks like it was right after a rain, cause of the water trapped in the web, if I'm not mistaken?
See, as much as we all may hate spiders, spiders hate water. And yes, there probably is a spider lurking deep within the dark dark depths of this funnel of oblivion. However, until that web dries, I think he'll be happy with left-overs.
