Description

A six-hour process of a wonderous mix of SpongeBob SquarePants as Shrek and Patrick Star as Puss in Boots.

Inspiration for this came from the realization to how SpongeBob SquarePants and Shrek are infamously popular franchises with each others' animation companies and how Patrick was the first SquarePants character to receive his own spin-off like how Puss was the first Shrek character to receive his.

Now the characters' bodies were made the same way: reference images, clip art, coloring pages, et cetera. The clothing and accessories for them were made freehanded; Patrick, in particular, had many things done for him. The belt was made with looking at Mr. Krabs' while the feather on his hat was made with looking at the tail feather of Squidward's Feather Friends suit. His sword was a star-shaped pommel since Puss' is cat-shaped. The boots were freehanded as well while looking at a still from the "Squeaky Boots" game.

Believe me when I say this, this was something I never thought I'd make another art piece with SpongeBob in it, but at least it had Patrick in the mix. And I gotta say, it turned out well.
