It was taken in Lahti Finland. They are live-aboard house boats, but none of them seemed to be occupied, wonder why

I agree with you, and is a most interesting issue. It may be that this shot was more lively so to say, making you deceivingly more confident about what lies behind the fog...whatever it is, gets you more off guard.

This really has that nice luxury city feel to it (one of the reasons why I love this picture). I love the fog in the photo and the yellow lights at the background, it just adds to the perfection of the photo! This is the first photo I saw that gave that dreamy feel about cities without the cities, but with ships instead, which I personally love. Ships and harbors were kind of the best things I remember during my childhood so this really lifted my spirits (thank you so much for that
