Totally love this, would it be ok if I use this on a website I'm building? It's non profit & creative commons licensed related to social work? Link with attribution would be added of course.

I could swear this was a photo from the ISS.

With a little cropping, this made for a great wallpaper.
It would be super awesome at a higher resolution, but I've featured it on my blog nonetheless:[link]
Great work!

This is gorgeous! Any chance of getting a version big enough for a dual screen wallpaper?

Epic win. This is one of the most realistic renders of this type that I've ever seen.

Good, I would really like to know how to do this. Do you use a colour shader for the clouds, or how many layers and at what height, my hurricanes are pretty aweful. Oh and do you use a mask or nodes?

How do you do this with Terragen!?

Smattila In reply to pbjplatypus [2010-02-17 12:49:38 +0000 UTC]
You make an alpha map and project it to a procedural cloud layer. I had several alphas in this one and few pure procedurals on top of those too

I fell like such a noob here, considering the fact that I have no idea what you said.
To Terragen forums!
