Roses are one of my favorite flowers already, but this photo just heightens my love for them!
The colors highlight and compliment each other so perfectly, and the darker colors behind the flower make the colors more extravagant and stand out.
When I first look at this picture, I see the rose, but then my eye begins to follow the stem and the way it bends and turns gives it a good shape. I also notice that there is a wide range in the values, which I always believe is a plus because it makes the picture look more life-like. There is also great unity in the flower, the rose united with the leaves, and the leaves connecting the rose and the stem together.
