Thank you, I was set up on the tripod for almost 30 minutes, constantly changing the exposure as the light changed. I'm old time and take one aperture preset exposure and then use that as a light meter reading and go to manual.
It's actually the first time I went out dedicated to getting a sunset image. I only use the basic Picasa program so this is pretty much how I saw it at the time. With digital being almost free (I started with 12 exposure 120 film for my Mamyia C330) one can really experiment without cost.

Yes it was! I watched and photographed for over 30 minutes and the color and lighting must have changed 50 times.
Being on the deck with a glass of Sonoma Co. Merlot, actually two glasses reminded me why I love the Napa-Sonoma Valley Wine Country.

I'm jealous.
Haven't seen any good sunsets/sunrises in a while. I'll just have to wait until I go to Maine the end of July.
