Description
Lana finally got Luke to what she thought was the protection of the doorway. He stumbled and turned his saber off as he fell against her, pushing her into the door. Lana wrapped an arm around him and kept him from slumping down with a worried, “Hey come on now stay with me, don’t pass out. Cause I can’t carry you.”

Luke panted as he lifted his head with a small nod. In a sudden moment of clarity he pressed his body against hers to push her into the interior corner of the doorway, out of danger and view from their friends and most of their enemies. He met her surprised gaze while he protectively covered her as blaster fire struck the spot they had just been standing in. The door shook violently from the blast impact and pressed the Jedi into her more, his head spontaneously tipped forward as Lana opened her mouth to give protest. Luke took a moment of pause, and forgot his illness when his lips pressed firmly against hers by mistake. Time seemed to slow down for the Jedi, while the impromptu moment gave way to an unexpected feeling of contentment. Without thinking twice he allowed himself a moment of indulgence when he felt an oddly familiar warmth in his rescuer's lips. He pressed closer. If this was how he was going to meet his end, it was not such a bad way to go, returning the unintentional kiss of an attractive woman. Another blast impact brought the Jedi back to the here and now of his and Lana’s very dangerous situation. He parted from her at once.

If there had been time enough to think about it, Luke would have blushed at the sudden unexpected kiss with Lana. Instead, concerned and feeling the strained illness return, he asked in a pant, “You okay?”

Lana nodded, more then slightly unnerved, and slipped out from between him and the doorway. She grimaced in pain. Her ankle was throbbing mercilessly. Luke leaned heavily against her vaccant spot and felt his stomach give a painful spasm as the illness spiked once again.

“Can you manage? You look like you’re going to be sick,” Lana asked him, while fending off another shot.

He nodded, trying desperately not to be physically ill. At once he reignited his lightsaber and started using it to cut a hole in the door’s lock. The saber burned slowly through the metal.

Lana turned to cover the Jedi while he worked to open the locked door. She finally saw Solaren take a bead on Luke’s unguarded back. Without a second thought, she stepped in front of him, protectively covering him with her own body and aimed her gun.

Corellian Pledge: Ch.9 Fight and Flight
This scene would not let me rest until it was put to paper. It took several hours, spread out over several days, to finish. The thing that I am most happy with on Luke are his hands and his saber. I know the saber's not perfect but I am not very good at drawing weapons. Also I do like the way his tunik turned out. Raw silk is not easy to draw either but I think I did okay with it.
I just love the shocked expression on Lana's face. The dark spot on her cheek and neck are bruises, which are also not easy to draw in pencil.
