- Ulona's character was initially based on an unholy mix of Izumi Curtis and Maes Hughes
- A lot of Laurel's alchemy was inspired from rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist
- Saving Amarith in the Snowood is based on the Tangled ending
- The Alchemy convention will transition into Mewni's World Fair in a later biography
