So this is a concept I thought up during an rp, about a kind of symbiote/parasite/idontfuckinknow. Basically, it's a collection of spirits that possess someone and assimilates their soul into the collective, then moves onto the next person to collect another. However, as the person can function perfectly well for the first few days like this, their bodies will slowly begin to deform and so will their mental state, due to the amount of spirits trying to impose themselves onto the host body. This often manifests as growing more limbs, growths, blisters, loss of muscular and nerve control, and such on. The more spirits/souls inhabiting the body, the faster the deformities take place.
There are multiple ways someone could have the souls passed onto them, but it all involves one person physically being "inside" another. So if one were to bite another, if one were to impale another with a limb, if one were to exchange blood, etc. This could also technically count it as a kind of STI, but I doubt it would be considered one in the later stages [see above]
