I know that all are happy about Twi getting avatar magic but I'm worried how she got it... In the show she got it via the sonic rainboom aka the premise of the friendship of five wonderful poies who will make her life very happy and adventrous. But in this case Twi got it via the terror, sadness and helplessness to watch her family die before her eyes. This is very differently and might change Twi's character alot in the future when she's grown up.
I think she can still be a nice and kind and caring person, but she will be less forgiving, show no mercy and might even be cruel in return if she gets a chance. She might held herself to even higher standards than in the show but have a less worrisome state about it and more of a fanatical one to raise it even more, to get stronger for her revenge/to prevent such a horrible tradgedy to happen again in her life.
At least I hope you took this into account of her chara developement; this Twi will never be the Twi of the show, not after what just had happened. Can't wait to see the next pages and how this all will continue.
