You guys remember my doodle of a deer fursona, made after Kaylink decided I'd be a deer if I was some kind of hoof animal? Well, one of my good friends actually has a deer fursona and was updating her this weekend, and I just... got inspired I guess. x3

So this is Gyro, a strangely white mule deer. Turns out he has a wide mouth with carnivorous teeth. Like his original concept, he's a farm deer, one of only like two bucks in the entire place. So he was considered special, the collar identifying him as a pet and not as something to be hunted. He's an awkward fellow and most other deer don't trust him, especially if they happen to notice his teeth. He tries to be like them, to eat grass and to run when there is danger, but it always felt against his character. So when the farm is attacked by wolves, Gyro turns to face the threat and does not run away. He does end up with some scars from the encounter but they only serve as a trophy, a testament to his will and power. He leaves the farm to strike out on his own, able to convince himself to not be afraid, to not be prey, to not run or hide or cower. Instead he is vicious and unwavering in his pursuits and has no fear of hounds or humans with guns. If anyone dares to attack his friends, he immediately goes into murder mode. You know, like all of my sonas do.

Anyway yeah this was just kind of a doodle that I ended up having a ton of fun with. Like most forms of my fursona, he's not like... a main character or anything. Just a fun concept to explore. I want to learn how to draw deer, might add some variety to my portfolio.

Oh his left eye is blue but is not blind, he can see just fine. His right eye is red.
