I had this song stuck in my head while creating this. xD

She requested any animal and said she likes it when the card/animal has a personal meaning to the creator. I immediately thought of this bird.
Animals have been a big personal part of my life since I was a kid, especially wildlife. My granddad being a forest person taught me a lot about nature and animals. And today I work with them in various forms
I will never forget my first book, a lexicon of animals, illustrated and with short descriptions, categorized - fish, birds, insects, arachnids, mammals(further categorized into hoofed, water mammals, rabbit-like, rodents... and so on) and many others, even prehistoric species. It would then have a vast variety of animals under each heading. Some had photos and some had drawings. It was my favorite book as a child, and, I still have it! It's tattered and missing its cover and some pages are loose and drawn on from when I was a child, but it's still in my possession.

Anyway, one of my most memorable "findings" in that book was the Eurasian Golden Oriole. It's a small bird, yellow in color(the male moreso than the female) with the ability to predict the rain - if its song is heard, likely rain is coming in the next few days. It lives in Europe during the summer, and migrates south for the winter. I was mesmerized by this bird as a child - I made it my mission to see or hear one in the wild. That never happened, and I have since moved to a country where it doesn't exist, but, one day I will reach that goal.

I hope you enjoy! This was also my first time drawing a "blurry" or bokeh-like background, I hope it worked!
