“So then I found out that if you smother it into the floor while you activate your aura, it can't turn back if the petals are smeared across your sole. I ended up using it like foot powder by dumping half of the petals into each of my gym socks before I went on my daily run on the treadmill when I realized how soft and absorbent the petals were, I swear it felt like it was massaging my foot the entire time with how it kept trying to reform.”

How long had it been? Weeks? Months? Years? Ruby truly could not tell anymore. As Yang and Blake casually chatted with each other enjoying a lazy afternoon these random thoughts graced her mind for just a moment. She couldn’t tell how much time was passing, she could remember what regular food tasted like. If she was lucky she'd get to lick some crumbs off the bottoms of the girls feet. She also couldn’t remember the last time she had spoken. Her mouth has only been used for one thing, worshiping her owner's feet.

“Huh that does sound really nice, I'll have to give that a try later. Y’know you've been pretty enthusiastic with things since you started joining in more… It's surprising in a good way.”

It was true. At first Yang was probably the most hesitant of the bunch. She had now really embraced both Ruby’s new role with the team as well as her own. And she was really enjoying it.

“Eh, it was a bit awkward at first but eventually i just figured adding it to my foot care routine can't be that big a deal. After all, you’ve been in such a better mood since you started using it aannndd it all is just part of the bet so there's no real harm if I focus on enjoying myself while we have it, plus my feet feel amazing now that I'm actually using it properly. I love the feeling of having it under my sole as it licks up all my foot sweat… not to mention that having your own insole makes my feet SO much less sore. Anyway, do you know where Weiss keeps her cosmetic stuff? I wanna try mixing it in with some of that fancy foot lotion I saw her using the other day…”
