Description
This is a reworking of an older painting [link] I was never satisfied with how the original came out, so I made a bunch of changes to it. I'm still not totally happy with it, but it's time to move on!Comments & criticism welcome, as always!

Yeah, the composition of this one is much better... Your eyes go from the viking guys to the sorcerer at the top, whereas in the other one, there isnt really a straight line of focus. The colours are also a lot more striking but I can't decide if the colour scheme in this one is better than the other. They both have they'r strong points I guess =]

Thanks! I can't look at this one anymore because of the colors. I think I got too saturated and sacrificed a lot of focus. It's what comes of not making decisions early on!

Definitely a huge improvement! The details look a lot more solid now. I think it's good that you flipped the image. The colors are now more dramatic and reworking cape is a good move as well. It adds to the composition. I like it!

I like how you've reworked the colours in this - the inclusion of the green from the fog on the cloak really draws it together well. Its a lovely painting...well, if lovely is the way to describe these guys!
