Dank je, Chantal. Ik moet wel bekennen dat ik hier een beetje geshopped heb (als je weet wat ik bedoel).

Chansie In reply to SmoothEyes [2008-01-22 23:43:47 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to Chansie [2008-01-23 17:11:16 +0000 UTC]

SmoothEyes In reply to Chansie [2008-01-23 21:53:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh -- yellow ocean. So pretty the way the individual flowers merge into this solid yellow "presence" in the back. Ocean of yellow. Yep. I looked very carefully for shark dorsals. None, thank goodness -- perhaps they were frightened away by the perfect fairy-tale clouds....

This picture was used as a promotion picture for a meeting [link] about the use of bio-fuel. (Coleseed can be used as fuel, you know.)

Thanks a lot.

In my eyes a combination of blue and yellow often works well together.

This looks like a painting, a sea of flowers. I wish I didn't live in a city so I could enjoy a place like that around home...

... living in the city probably has some advantages too, although I don't want to move and live there (to crowdy for me)

SmoothEyes In reply to hellfirediva [2006-08-05 21:47:33 +0000 UTC]

It has been a nice day here too, and I did make a walk. At this time in Europe it's about 23:45 PM, then it's strange for us to read it's such a nice day

hellfirediva In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 22:04:20 +0000 UTC]

LOL I am sorry I keep forgetting this.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to hellfirediva [2006-08-05 22:08:13 +0000 UTC]

No problem, but it keeps sounding very strange.
Sometimes it creates some problems too like when having a chat: here it's past midnight and I'm getting sleepy, while at your place it's maybe about 4:00 PM (or sooner?)

hellfirediva In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 22:25:38 +0000 UTC]

You and me we should have a 6 hour time difference

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to hellfirediva [2006-08-05 22:30:01 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I thought it was even more (due to 'daylight saving time'). Here it's 00:30 AM (Sunday) so I suppose where you live it's now 6:30 PM (still Saterday)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hellfirediva In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 22:32:46 +0000 UTC]

Yes that is right, I am on EDT and we have the daylight saving time as well. I think there are two weeks a year when we are 7 hours apart. I think the US changes the daylight savings 1 week after Europe.

Who wouldn't want that.
I think we are gonna see this more and more cause this can be grown to make 'biodiesel'.

I prefer this view rather than the green of corn.

Konijntje In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 21:01:22 +0000 UTC]

You mean this green? [link]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to Konijntje [2006-08-05 21:13:52 +0000 UTC]

Yes, indeed. I like some of these fields, but the last years it's really too much. Everywhere you look they cultivate corn. We call it maïs or the green desert because nothing else grows in these cornfields due to the use of herbicides.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Konijntje In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 21:21:42 +0000 UTC]

Green desert..
Sad, though...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to Konijntje [2006-08-05 21:28:13 +0000 UTC]

Those green deserts have one big advantage: they're so great to hide in. When I was a 'little' boy, we played hide and seek in such cornfields. Nowadays they even make labyrinths in it: big fun!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Konijntje In reply to SmoothEyes [2006-08-05 21:31:59 +0000 UTC]

It seems so many scary movies have cornfields in them! :s

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SmoothEyes In reply to Konijntje [2006-08-05 21:38:55 +0000 UTC]

Probably because of the crows? Or to hide some scary creatures in it...
