But seriously, I'll bet Sora reminds Cloud of Zack. (they do look alike and Terra is practically Zack's clone) Maybe Cloud feels protective of Sora... yup, thats what inspired this piccy X33

I kinda figure it like this: Cloud and Squall (or, as he goes by after failing to protect Radiant Garden, Leon) are seen by Sora as, maybe, older brother figures. Thus why Cloud and Squall could be protective of Sora (like in the scene in KH2 where the beam of light is seen when Sora and pals go to the gummi ship and Leon hollers Sora's name and Cloud just acts calm and tell shim they're okay).

An artist on DA name has some drawings of Sora reminding VINCENT of Cloud, but I suppose Sora reminding Cloud of Zack works too.
