Description Taken in B&W and then colorized in photoshop using curves. When I got home and took a look at the shots I realized a splash of water in the middle of the shot would be nice. 'Good idea' I thought and the next day I was there again. I got a good splash but I still think this shot is better. I like the clouds much better in this shot.

I just want do dive into the water and escape to another world. That would be nice.

wonderful
i love the blue tones and textures of this shot, and the intricate detail of the branches
i too didn't realize i was looking at a reflection until i read the comment above mine. and then i looked at the picture again.
i did notice the little distortions in certain parts of the branches, but thought that it was perhaps a few drops of water on the top of the lense that did that.
discovering that this is a reflection makes this image even more wonderfuly, especially considering the clarity.

It took me a little while before I realized I was looking at a reflection in the lake and the foreground grass wasn't a manipulation. Very moody shot, I love the slight disturbances in the water, it adds a horror like surreal feel to it, the reason for it being just beyond noticed in the first glance. I think you're right though, the clouds really do make the photo.

Lol, me neither, I've only seen the previews...it's bright in the front and darker in the background, like someone was shining a flashlight in the front. Plus it's in a forest, so it reminds me of them running around there with a flashlight and video camera.

well you know..all these tones really stand out with what you did in PS and i don't think i would want this any other way..i adore this shot for the simple reason of those trees and sky..beautiful job as always
