I decided I needed to work on my furry stuff. Practise makes less fail.
Lola Bunny (Looney Tunes) and Krystal (Starfox) having some fun with Cheshire Cat and myself (not furry...... Slimy?). And what's with that background? It likes like a retro 80's music video. *shrug*
Anywho, this is the important part. I wanna get my furry stuff up to a very high par before I start a project for submission (hopefully) to PawFeather Publishing. So, assuming the backgrounds were also of this quality, what do you lot think? Does furry need more work or is this shite good enough for print?

Before I continue, I'd like you to know that you did an awesome job on this piece, and that my following thoughts are just suggestions. I don't want you to feel like I'm downgrading your work, because I'm just offering ideas for improvement.

Well, as far as your design, your very good. The only thing I can suggest about that is to try to soften your lines a little. The lines themselves seem are rough on the edges, almost like your pen bled really bad and part of the felt came off. to fix this issue, try to run a REALLY soft blur on the basic lines in whatever image editor you use before coloring the image. Be a little careful when doing this, though, because any hair-thin lines could possibly be faded out, and you definitely don't want that.
When it came to the coloring portion of the picture, you did an amazing job with the soft shading. The only thing I thought could have used improvement was Cheshire Cat's shirt. Due to the way the checker pattern is perfectly set on his shirt, its very difficult to tell where the sleeve of his shirt is and makes his arm appear as if it was coming out of his chest. Try to define the edge of his sleeve more with a darker line, or maybe use a lighter color for the shirt texture. Just ideas, you may find a better way to adjust it. Another possible option is to angle the pattern on the sleeve accordingly, but that would destroy the "Optical Illusion" appearance that Cheshire Cat is known for.

I knew Chesh's shirt wasn't looking right, but for practise, meh. The lines are rough for sure. That's how teh result comes out of my image editor. I didn't know how to fix it without tracing everything with the pen tool, but a soft blur might work. I'll give it a try next time.
