Faelis Insulsa has charisma, the best schooling, and comes from the well respected Insulsa family. He is the grandson of the late Chief Elder Crito Insulsa, one of the three rulers of the Triple Alliance. All of these positives and pedigree are offset by the fact that Faelis insists on dressing up as a cat and pretending he is one.
Goblin nobility are known for eccentricity but even by those standards Faelis stands out and that was not to his advantage. His strange habit made him the black sheep of his family and it is an open secret that his grandfather had attempted to have Faelis assassinated.

However, when Chief Elder Crito and many of his older family members (and more experienced bureaucrats in general) perished in the great war, Faelis found he had moved up in the world and was presented with opportunities that would have been impossible before.
Faelis is now a Logista, in charge of the logistics of the army, in the Triple Alliance's latest campaign against seemingly endless rebellions. With the campaign being lead by the young and open-minded Augustus the Bard, Faelis is definitely on the up and up but the trauma from his lifelong ostracization is not easily cast aside and he is, completely incidentally, taking strongly to the Alliance's new fascination with hallucinogen mushrooms.
